RED HOT MAC & CHEESE

Ingredients

  • 8 oz shell pasta uncooked
  • 2 tablespoons of salted butter
  • 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon of sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 cup of whole milk
  • ¼ cup of sour cream
  • 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • Sprinkle of HOXY™ Red Chili Pepper Fine

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to the box instructions. Add 1/4 tsp of salt to the water used to boil the pasta. Drain and set aside. 
  2. Mix the flour, sea salt, and garlic powder together in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the flour mixture and whisk. Cook until slightly brown.
  4. Add the milk and whisk until smooth. 
  5. Add the sour cream and whisk until smooth.
  6. Cook on medium high heat until mixture thickens. Make sure not to boil.
  7. Reduce heat then, add the cheese and whisk until melted and smooth. Add seasoning to taste and top with HOXY™ Red Chili Pepper Fine.
